You are looking for equivalency that doesn't exist.


The UN inspection team went into Iraq and returned with their findings BEFORE the war. That alone was reason to question going to war based solely on CIA findings. In addition this was going on in the days prior to an election and the Bushies were beating the war drums. Many folks in Congress at the time failed the profiles in courage test as they did little to question the motives behind the rush to war.

In the case of the Russian hacking, there is no serious question by anyone about their involvement and intent to disrupt in our election, so the validity of the CIA's work is sound in this case. There is also evidence that they have done likewise in other elections as well.
