I once talked to a young direct relative of his in a bar

after a UNC-UVa football game in Chapel Hill, 5-10 years younger than me. Said his family was super pissed he went to UNC (was a current student) instead of UVa, and they tried to stop it but he was gonna do what he was gonna do. Just an odd encounter I had, was during the Groh years.

Other than that I don't know much connection between Lee and C'ville, just that Lee was a symbol for Virginia.
