What's this?

On a really obvious level, anyone hoo does this--or is, say,

a radical Islamic terrorist who does similar things--is mentally ill.

The two big, big flags here, and hopefully something that can actually end up being legislated and enforced at some point, are:
1) if you are convicted of domestic violence, you've probably got deep issues that should prevent you from owning any gun; and
2) if you are convicted of animal abuse, you've probably got deep issues that should prevent you from owning any gun.

I mean, how high a percentage of the population are so bad that they actually get charged AND convicted of those things? It's minimal. But an absurd number of mass human murderers have animal abuse and/or domestic violence in their past. Maybe that's something that both NRA activists and non-NRA activists (and the politicians supported by each) can agree on.
