I'm a little torn about this . . .
I really believe his democratic colleagues should have let the ethics committee play out and let Franken take his lumps that way. On the other hand, his conduct was reprehensible and so I get it.
However, taking the high road doesn't mean you win. What are these same democrats going to do when Roy Moore becomes a senator? They may scream and shout and call for his resignation, but their republican counter parts will not take the high road, they are stuck in the ditch, mainly thanks to Trump and Bannon etc. Taking the high road is noble, but it doesn't mean shit in politics. Lately, as a matter of fact, it means you lose.
