behavior really won't be tolerated anymore, but you know, when men and women spend a lot of time together, stuff happens. The heart wants what it wants, as they say. You can't necessarily convince the heart to stop having feelings for a subordinate.

So we can try to become a crazed puritanical society, requiring written legal releases before sex and making workplace flirtation illegal. I doubt any of that will work, and will probably just lead to backlashes, as extreme overreactions tend to do.

So no single "flirtation" case should be used to say all workplace flirtations are good or bad. They are neither. They just are. They are a result of the way God or nature or whatever made us. The message has to be balance. You can't outlaw flirting, but we can get to a point where society demands that "no means no" without retaliation of any kind. Zero tolerance for bad behavior, which is of course what Franken the Douche appeared not to recognize with his ridiculous speech yesterday.
