of time in AL the past few months has been pretty eye opening and I realized how much of a bubble Cville really is. For one, nobody is scared to admit they're voting Republican so you can actually get an honest pulse on what matters to them and how they see the election.

For most people I've talked to that will vote for Moore, it's really really simple. This is an election for 1 of Alabama's 2 US Senate seats and they could not more strongly oppose the Democrat party's national platform. So much so that they will vote for somebody they personally dislike (or worse) because he's running against a Democrat. They have simply decided that an asshole that votes the way you want him to vote is better than a guy who's less of an asshole that won't vote the way you want. They believe the allegations against him by and large in my experience, but that's just lower on the totem pole than the issues these two men would vote on if elected.

To me, that is an indictment of how polarized our politics is right now ... not people in Alabama. And yes, this video was set up to mock people 100%. In my experience they did not find anywhere close to a representative sample of Moore voters. They *somehow* only manged to find old white people -- most of whom (by their listed jobs) seem to have very little education. My experiences may be the outlier ... I've been spending time in Huntsville which is definitely not typical of Alabama in terms of average level of education ... but they went to Birmingham -- not some back woods small town. I guarantee you there are plenty of Moore voters who do not look or sound like them in Birmingham.
