You do FTR and I appreciate that. But the "fake news" is not just about

errors, corrections, etc. It's more about story selection, bias spinning within those stories, and so on. Yesterday Fox (Business Channel anyway, I don't watch much of the mothership) was constantly harping about the texts, Mueller Committee members partisanship, etc. while CNN, etc. I assume (beyond the little I watched) was all about Moore's loss, repudiation of Trump, reinvigorating of the Dem party, etc. Along those lines, Y-T-D FBN has been all about Dow exploding, economic growth, and ways to make the brown immigrants look bad/Trump immigration goals look good. While CNN by their own admission was Russia, Russia, Russia.

As Hoolstop wisely and correctly points out IMO, that bias is not surprising and will continue (whereas the left at least has each other to keep them in check while Fox sits mostly on an island). And for years I suggested the GOP just stop whining about it because it wasn't going to change and it wasn't like they didn't have Fox as a counter balance. Let the market shape that by having it reject the uber bias for more straight/fair versions. So all it did was show them as whiners. But the levels it went to after Trump's nomination (he was their darling before that because he brought tremendous ratings and they thought he would be Hillary's easiest victim) have gone so far beyond what Mitt, McCain or even W ever dreamed of. When 92% or so of your coverage is negative, you don't even pretend to be objective or have journalistic standards, and you're rushing to get negative stories out, you're going to end up with egg on your face as they have.

Both sides are "fake news" IMO in terms of allowing their bias to shape, distort and choose the stories they run. Honesty and objectivity, let alone offering up both sides' argument, seem to have long gone away unfortunately. It's just that CNN et. al. have gone so far to the Fox end of the spectrum that they've allowed Trump's "Fake news" criticisms to stick in a way Mitt, W, etc. never could. The left just happily bought the Fox is Faux mantra, while remaining in denial about CNN, etc. Because it's what they want to believe/hear.
