You're hearing things if THAT speaks volumes.

Setting the cuts to expire in 2024 is a gimmick to make the cuts appear less costly. Just as it is a gimmick to set the cuts to expire in 2025. The move by 1 year just uses that gimmick to reduce the projected cost of tax plan by a bigger amount.

Overall, I don't like the plan, but this is pretty far down on this list of things I don't like about the plan.

I'm also confused... I keep hearing this isn't a cut for families... just rich corporations and fat cat CEOs. How can a tax cut for families expire if they're supposedly not even getting a cut in the first place?
