The pre-election polls were predicting Clinton in a landslide. Yes, she won the popular vote by 51% to 49%, but she was supposed to win the popular vote by 4-5%, not 1-2%, and she was supposed to win the electoral collage by 70 instead of lose by 70.

And even if Trump did collude with the Russians, all the evidence we have still says the election itself wasn't rigged. The closest thing we've got is the registration system in Durham went Fubar the day of the election. But even if you switch NC from red to blue, that doesn't change the outcome of the election.

Right after the election, the best way I could explain the results being so different from the prediction was that the media and the polls focused on the white vote, the black vote, the Hispanic vote, the women vote, the Christian vote, the LGBT vote, and every other subcategory you could think of. But the voting block that had the biggest effect on the election was the "I'm sick of this shit and want something different" voter. And they were perfectly happy to vote for the character that ran the show on The Apprentice, just because he wasn't a career politician.

It also doesn't help that the "I'm sick of this shit" voter doesn't particularly like to talk to pollsters. So the swing votes in the election flat weren't represented in the polls
