Not one I have a lot of conviction about, and I think property taxes don't really fit that argument. I'm definitely right of center on tax policy, but I understand the double taxation argument. Your argument stops a little shy of the mark IMO, because part of the problem is that lower SALT, lower median income states tend to draw comparatively more funding from the feds, and to an extent that amounts to higher median income states (which are often also higher SALT states) subsidizing them.
But like I said, given my preference for a flat tax, basically no deductions, same low income exclusion for everyone, I can't go to the mat with that argument.
And it simply doesn't matter in this thread. Politicians who abide by current law even while politically opposing that law, regardless of how much hyperbole they use, are not hypocritical, not one tiny little bit, unless they insist that others do more than required by law.
