I need to read this. I'm realizing that I don't know nearly enough about


American society prior to the French and Indian war. Bits and pieces really; some significant dates. But between the establishment of St. Augustine in 1565 and the start of the Revolution, I don't know enough about how the Europeans lived and the culture they established. That's roughly 200 years that most people probably find a mystery.
