Yes, 1705 not 1805.


Your memory of the basic facts is pretty accurate. However, I do believe it was a bit more widespread in what was the hinterlands at the time. As I recall there were pockets of rebellious folks in a number of places. Some on the Northern Neck for instance. I have ancestors from that area (tobacco planters) and have wondered if they were involved and if so which side.
