What's this?

No, that's just a convenient rationalization. Nobody denies that it was a

" conscious act". Nobody.
Some people believe that we need to get rid of guns capable of killing a lot of people quickly, for the greater good. And some people believe their right to own such weapons supersedes concern for the greater good.

And then there is this moronic concept that more guns would make us safer. Which is only espoused by people who equate their guns with their manhood.
