Because his actions were bringing us closer to nuclear war.
He was ramping up a stupid twitter war with an unstable dictator of a nuclear power at the same time he was asking why we couldn't regrow our nuclear stockpile. His actions specifically regarding our nuclear arsenal led his handpicked Secretary of State to call him a f***ing moron.
Him appearing to diffuse the situation yesterday doesn't change the fact that we were on a very bad course last year with NK.
He has now decided to trade in nuclear war with unprovoked trade war with our allies, so it's not like he's going to win a ton of diplomacy points this week.
