I think you are being baited into a false debate.

The "MSM" said Trump was bringing us closer to nuclear war? What, all in one big happy communique signed "Your Friend, the MSM"?

You are trying to support a point that I don't think anyone (aside from some editorialists here or there, although I don't recall any offhand) in primary media really made. I don't think too many people were really expecting Kim to shoot his entire load with one missile, and then be annihilated himself.

Ardent Trumpies are bending over as far as they can to try to suck their own dicks over this. And gleefully bait anti-Trumpies into anything that can result in an "I told you so". My suggestion, don't take the bait. They want to twist you into suggesting that you are rooting for peace to fail so you can "get Trump", as the sith keeps saying. If you don't say it, he just starts his own thread as bait. And people respond to it!

Everybody wants peace in the Koreas, no matter who gets credit for it. Don't give into the baiting now, when Trumpies are euphoric, and don't fall into the trap of baiting them back when the road gets rocky, as it inevitably will. The "historic" agreement in the '90s was struck in 1994, and I think it was W in his first term who finally declared it dead. This is unlikely to be a short process.
