Equating abortion to murdering an innocent child is misguided Imo.

Studies have shown that when a society legalizes abortion it has a positive impact on society as a whole. Surely you're smart enough to see the negative impact of undesired children existing in situations where their guardians lack the resources and/or desire to care for them as well as the subsequent strain on state resources. Spare me your histrionics concerning innocent children being murdered. Do you really believe that? If you do, why aren't you out trying to stop it right now? Do you support the murder of abortion practitioners and the bombing of clinics? If you really believe they are systematically murdering innocent children, I can't see how you don't.

My issue with the death penalty isn't that it is state sanctioned, it is that the process is inherently unreliable and the results irreversible. You asked how I can be for abortion yet against the death penalty. I stated it quite clearly, never has institutional bias or false testimony caused an abortion to occur in error. The same can't be said for capital punishment. I was also pointing out the flawed logic involved in claiming the gross incompetence of the government while empowering it to take someones freedom or life but being against it instituting environmental regulations or providing education to the public.

The net positive for letting a person sit in jail at the taxpayers expense is that when DNA or other evidence emerges proving they did not commit heinous murders, the state can remedy that error to some degree.

When has anyone had the "choice" to "kill the bastard I WATCHED slaughter my family"?? I find your hypothetical to be laughable. Most cases are not nearly as black and white as the one you proposed and youre smart enough to realize that. Your appeal to emotion using such terms as "innocent" and "watch slaughter my family" are evidence of a weak argument.

Are you in favor of providing birth control to as many people as possible? I mention it because if you really believe abortion is murder, the most effective way to combat the practice would be to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies through widespread distribution of contraceptives. God comes into play when people are against abortion and contraception because of their adherence to religion and its archaic views about sex in general.
