You may feel that way and also believe that she is wrong in suggesting

UVA is a racist / evil-producing University.

As you say the perception needs to be addressed. I would agree. Why then if she creating a false and negative perception?! Ive never heard anyone allege that UVA produces racists (I believe it does the opposite). If that line of thought was widespread, I would applaud her for investigating why that is the case and helping to amend the source of the problem. By as we say in science, her n-of-2 is not a statistically significant finding.

Its also a shame that the mayor of Charlottesville has such negative feelings towards our school. If she had seen the UVA I saw, I bet she would feel differently.
