In addition to what Boca and KC said - it's also pie in the sky fantasy.

This is dead on arrival politically (even if the best case for the dems plays out in Nov - which I think things like this will prevent). Even if it passed, I think it would be dead on arrival constitutionally. Whatever we think about corporate personhood, it does not come with strings attached. There is no provision to strip personhood from corps that EW decides are bad citizens. And it won't cost money? She is talking about new agencies, new bureaucracies, new regulatory filing requirements, lord knows what.

All this is, is a govt enforced pay cap, disguised behind some flowery socialist language about good citizenship. She wants to lead us down the path of reams and reams of new labor laws similar to what Macron is desperately trying to get rid of in France, because they have been a huge drag on the French economy and labor market, which is completely inflexible.

I think this is EW posturing for her 2020 run, nothing more. And it bugs me a little. I want Trump beaten. And I keep thinking about the Paul Wellstone funeral. Wellstone was a widely admired far left senator, died too young in '02, one of very few senators to vote against Bush's blank Iraqi war check, and Minnesota dem icon Walter Mondale was a shoe-in to replace him. At Wellstone's funeral, dems booed the repubs who had the temerity to show up to pay their respects. Minnesota voters recoiled, and down went Mondale.

The dems specialize in pulling defeat from the jaws of victory. If Warren gets her way, they are on their way to adding to their track record IMO.
