such things, identify them related to the hurricane, etc. It clearly suggests that number of "excess deaths" stated need further study to understand them:

"Additional research must be done to understand how the hurricane was involved in the excess deaths identified in this study. This would involve interviews of family members and others, as well as in-depth statistical analyses, to learn about the circumstances leading up to individual deaths. Such a study can provide clues that will aid in protecting vulnerable groups in the future."

That's kind of my point. Again, I, nor anyone is claiming the response couldn't and shouldn't have been better. Perhaps we should learn from that and be more aggressive from the Fed level going forward when it's clear the local level can't get the job done, rather than focus on scoring political points. You can't just state, as so many want to do, that those were all related to our response or lack thereof, while ignoring the conditions that existed in PR before the storm and how that contributed to the "excess deaths". And certainly not to the laughable, and rather disgraceful, claims that this was just because they are "brown people". But hey, hoo cares about honesty if it gets in the way of an opportunity to bash Trump.
