You realize that apprehended means they were caught, right?

They didn't just walk across the border and take your job. As long as the US is a great country with a strong economy, people will try to enter - the only way people will stop trying is if our country sucks, and none of us want that. The fact that they were apprehended means the government is doing its job to stop them from entering (at least initially).

The linked report from DHS cites a stat that estimated illegal immigrants that were NOT caught by border patrol decreased 91% from 2000 to 2016, down to 170,000.

A decrease of 91% and just 0.05% of the population is not an "invasion." Sure, we could of course do more to stop that 170,000. But it's not that 1 million number you're trying to go with, it's not an invasion, and it's not a crisis.
