for the Republicans to win the House. Likewise for the Dems to take the Senate. I think we're seeing a further solidification of rural white America being in one corner and suburban/urban voters in another.

I think the Kavanaugh saga played into it do a degree and certainly mobilized the conservative white men and wives who vote for Republicans to a degree. But there is a real question regarding whether states like ND, TN, TX, etc. were really in play to begin with. Keep in mind it also pissed a lot of Dems off since his complete and utter unfitness -- and abhorrent behavior with women -- apparently did not matter.

I think we're going to see a slaughter in the house with the Republicans keeping the Senate and that same divide between flyover rural America and the rest of us will widen even further. And the fact that the Dakotas get as many senators as California and New York will save them from a complete legislative rout.

Fingers crossed. It is a shame that the country is so divided, but I have a hard time respecting anyone who wanted Donald Trump to be our president. That was some line-crossing shit. And it is who the GOP is now.
