That makes all the difference in the world. "Make your own website" isn't that easy - the registrars can and do kick them offline. It is essentially impossible to be on the Internet without agreeing to some term of service somewhere. And Facebook in particular was specifically intended to be a public space type of website, unlike, say, TheSabre, whose intent is to cover UVA sports and who would, for that reason along with the fact it has a very limited number of users, be quite justified in banning non-UVA topics.

No such thing as "legal views" by the way. Neo-Naziism is as legal as it is repugnant.
