Where I struggle with this, is how does this compare with Trump?
This is a healthy debate with reasonable differences. Why is $15 a magic number. And the number for Seattle or NYC is probably different than the amount for Roanoke, VA. But that seems to be a peripheral issue that will likely ultimately be watered down if it ever got passed which might not happen if the Dems don't win the Senate, and even then it would require scheming to only need 50 votes as opposed to 60, which even then is tough to get moderate Dems...
What I'm saying is, that's like 38 steps removed down the process. Trump is sowing racial discord today. Trump is destroying Amercia's credibility on the world stage today. Trump is antagonizing Iran today. Trump is actively fighting a lawsuit which would remove insurance policy protections for people with pre-existing conditions today.
I get the trepidation about a $15 national minimum wage. I just struggle to see how the weight of that bill which is so far into the future compares with the other stuff that seems more urgent/pressing and concrete versus the potential ramifications of their lofty rehtoric.
