That's ridiculous. None of us is perfect but we still make judgements about
those we honor. We decide some imperfect people are worthy of statues and some are not. The difference between, say, somebody that waged war against the United States in order to preserve ownership of human beings and the people that worked to create the United States, imperfect and conflicted as they were about issues like slavery, is stark. Taking down Jefferson's statue is stupid, taking down Nathan Bedford Forrest's, Stonewall Jackson's and Robert E Lee's is not. Easy call by anybody with a brain.
