Which requires that a significant portion of the compensation be cash?


Again I’m not a tax expert. So back to my game show example. You win a $8,000 trip to Fiji on Wheel of Fortune and you also win a good amount of cash. You pay (or they take) the taxes for the trip, out of the cash winnings? Athletes would work the same way? I can take the high dollar sports car, but I’m also going to need some cash as part of the deal to cover the taxes?
