As long as the board repubs make their pure devotion to a cult so obvious.

Can't ask for more than that. This isn't dismissal of a trade war with China, who most agree plays dirty pool, this is dismissal of a trade war with our allies. The WSJ estimated that before even considering this latest round of disruption of free markets, about 1% or so has been shaved from our GDP. So this is about devotion to a cult hero's policies which would be a major issue if being done by Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders (fellow protectionists) or Joe Biden.

There is no fiscally conservative party, not even the semblance of one. If we must shift the definition of socialism to include those who favor progressive tax policies, well, then America is a socialist country under Trump. He just employs his own brand of it.

Which is somewhere between a dismissive "ahh, who cares" and full throated support kinda thing for Trumpies, even though the identical thing would be a HORRIBLE LEFTIST SOCIALIST TURN if done by any dem.

Man I just never would've imagined the repub party being so weak kneed, even just 5 years ago.
