I rediscovered the Gin and Tonic this summer while on safari.

Kenya has a strong British influence, so the Gin and Tonic is the "sundowner" drink of choice. Very light and refreshing, but I was distraught to learn that tonic water has the same calories as a coke. how can that be... it has the word "water" in it? I'm now drinking the occasional gin and tonic with diet tonic, which is OK, but not quite the same.
