Mitt Romney is a Bain guy. He might minimize his taxes ...

but there was little fear his was doing anything illegal / shady. We already know Trump doesn't pay a lot of taxes. I have no problem with people who can maneuver around the tax codes legally. That's not their fault. It's the government's.

The issue with Trump's taxes:

1. Did he grossly over inflate his assets to raise debt in the market?

2. Michael Cohen touched on the gray area of insurance applications.

3. Trump Charity is a huge concern. Was it really a charity?

4. Trump's property cash flow. We don't know where that cash flow is coming from. Trump survived the 2008 Financial Crisis and later when many real estate owners / developers suffered in NYC (including the Kushners). How did he do it? Remember, Trump defaulted on paper issued by Deutsche (three deals that I know of: $640mn, $150mn, $175mn). So how the hell did he keep his other properties afloat?

I don't know ... but it's a fair question to ask for the President of the United States. Every President since 1974 have released their tax returns to the public. This is not harassment. This is a legitimate ask. The President and Cabinet heads are legally compelled to give their tax returns when asked by Congress since the Teapot Dome Scandal in the 20s.
