I think the odds are incredibly slim that states like Kentucky can be pried from Trump's grasp by next November. I don't think it can be won by out-messaging Trump's snake oil sales pitch - people are still too eager to buy it. Only a massive change in the current situation, like a scandal too great even for Trump's firewalls, can change that IMO.

In other words, dems need to focus their energy and resources on turning the swing states. I think it's a waste of time, energy, and money to try to turn the bright Trump-orange states.
