person can't use the n word for any reason. Not even to lampoon the use of the n word or racism in general. Or to dress up as a black person you admire.

Forget the debate about whether this should be true; it simply is true. A white person does that stuff at his/her own risk. White skin in blackface always conjures racist minstrel shows, and white people using the n word always conjures...you get the picture.

That's the way it is now. People can do as they want, but there will be backlash for crossing those lines.
