It is the blackface part that did it. She could have done the whole costume

Except the blackface, and she would have been recognizable as Bob Marley and her intended motive of honoring him (assuming that was her intended motive, and I always assume the best until proven otherwise) would have been apparent.

That’s my opinion anyway.
