old dynamic. There's room for compromise on immigration, taxation, and a thousand other issues of public policy, as has been the situation in the past.
That was then and this is now.

One side no longer respects the values, principles, and foundational ideas that literally make America, America. They don't care for the truth...….you see that here daily. As we speak they are making some serious inroads into eroding the rule of law. They have succeeded in convincing themselves that the media is an enemy and that vast parts of the government are part of a giant cabal.

A civil war? I don't know about that but we have to stop thinking that these people have the country's interests at heart. Everything they say and do indicates otherwise. However, since you bring up the notion of disunion, I don't think there has been such a formal political movement so bent on disunion since the Democratic Party of 1860.
