not we're importing or exporting oil, we're not in OPEC or working with them like Russia, and they control enough supply to control pricing if they stay united. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, but we're still reliant on that. Not to mention that if pursuing Nancy's dreaded Green Dream moves us further from coal, that will only help states like West Virginia move into the current century.

I agree with you about rare earth, but that has nothing to do with our trade war with China. We should by developing those supply chains domestically much more urgently than for oil and gas. IMO that's the future. But our trade war with China is not helping that situation.

The great evil Green Dream spectre of nationalist nightmares has just about nothing to do with China. But adopting parts of it could be a great help with our issues with Islamic terrorism and Russia.
