..diplomatic didn't deploy whatever this better solution is. Trump is, who he is. He is not diplomatic, he is caustic. Had Clinton/Bush/Obama done something more diplomatic, we wouldn't be here. Clinton, Bush, and Obama didn't touch the issue. . So shame on them. Heck, Clinton and Bush fed the issue.

Anyhow, here we are, and despite how he is doing it, he is doing it. Same with NAFTA. Same with NATO. he's the ugly messenger. Those relationships will ultimately get resolved when he leaves (well, except for his withdrawing support for the Kurds in Syria...that will hurt for years...but that's a different issue).

So, if it takes the "ugly American' to call these things out, and do something, I'm fine with that for 4-8 years. China's economy is seeing its worse growth in decades. With the trade war, and not solution in sight, businesses are getting out in favor of places like Mexico and Viet Nam. With any hope, it brings China to the table...I just hope Trump doesn't cave at the end, which may happen, and that wouldn't surprise me either (while at the same time telling us it was the greatest deal ever).
