What you see in national polls is irrelevant

there are only a couple hundred thousand people in a small number of states that matter. Less than 1% in FL + PA + MI was the difference in the last election. Think about that for a second... HRC's people will point to massive win in the popular vote while the Trumpleton's talk about an electoral landslide. The reality is that the 2016 election was insanely close.

So... Bernie. One interesting thing I read (in the Post of all places) was a piece that showed where the different candidates over and under-indexed in NH. Bernie did particularly well among lower-income white voters, while the "elites" seemed to gravitate to Pete and Amy. The real question is what the Ds need to have a different outcome in the few places that matter. Is it flipping some of those working class Trump voters? Is it making even more inroads with college-educated suburbans (especially women... still have a hard time seeing how any female votes for Trump, but that's another discussion)? Is it getting more African Americans and Latinos out to vote? I'm not sure, but these are the factors to consider. Forget the macro analyses, the party should be focused on the handful of pockets that will make the difference. I would assume the leadership is all over this and already working the messaging, etc. - but I've learned not to assume much from either party's leadership these days.
