I think you need to point out minimum wage was $1.60

I am not sure I agree the best thing to compare is a new vehicle. Trucks are built with extra comfort today at the base level. I drive a 2005 Lariat F150 now, and that thing is great. I had a 2001 Chevrolet and it would be a hell of a better ride getting through the mud holes through the power lines and woods to get to the underage keg parties in the mid seventies.

Like to see what your numbers match up against maybe food, avg medium housing costs. Housing is iffy because people buy bigger houses. We had 10 in a 1850 square house (unfinished half basement) with a stay at home mom and a Chemical Engineer salary.

Maybe your results would be the same on hours using other comparisons.

Now, many, many hourly jobs you get overtime at time in a half. Hell, the Hopewell plants still get triple time on working any holiday.

Should standard of living be at 40 hours. Salary workers never get overtime. Would you limit that anyone making less than xxxx a year base on 40 hours/52 weeks (who needs a fucking vacation) cannot be salary.
