So they cap it based on the income they were making before UE? Radical.
It's almost as if they don't want to create a disincentive to going back to work. Or even worse in this case, as some might say "pay you more for staying home than working".
BTW while you're busy telling folks others don't understand UE, you might want to look into where the funding for UE comes from. That fund is going to need some serious replenishing when this is all said and done.
Like I said before, if your rationale is to pump money into the economy and take care of the most vulnerable, why create this nonsense? Send everybody below a certain income level a check. Why should the guy making $10-15/hr still going into the grocery store not benefit, or ease their struggle, like the guy staying home for $25/hr?
