Their concern about "canceling" Thomas Jefferson is hilarious. Yes ...


he's a complicated man with flaws. He also ACCOMPLISHED great things that stood the test of time. It's not like the slaves on his property are a secret. UVA and Monticello doesn't hide it. It's an embarrassing part of Jefferson's story and deservedly criticized.

To even compare Jefferson to Lee, Jackson, Davis, etc. is ridiculous. Our Founding Fathers created America on a set of honorable principles. Unfortunately, they had blind spots that we were allowed to corrected because of the principles they set down ... although they did not always follow personally.

Davis, Jackson, and Lee fought against those principles. They are in a different stratosphere.
