However, that would require 1. smart policy making based upon data and

reasonable compromise and sacrifice from various groups, 2. Clear and coherent leadership that have united front pushing for implementation of the policy, 3. Majority of population that accepts the policy and willing to suffer the inconvenience, economical set-back, etc to follow the policy.

Just looking at mask wearing, I simply don't have any hope of that happening.
