When I went to the Democratic caucus up there in 2008 I was shocked to see many people at the assembly who I had just assumed were GOP. One of the said to me, "There are a lot more of us up here than you might think, but in the neighborhoods people don't feel comfortable talking about it." Which come to think of it was true; the Republicans were far more vocal and activist not to mention religious and one thing I definitely didn't feel comfortable discussing was my atheism. I find that a lot of religious people simply cannot abide people who don't ascribe to one faith or another.
