Sorry if you took offense to that. The vaccine will likely not be a silver bullet, at least from what I've read and heard from people who know more than I do. But if it is effective and starts to introduce immunities to this virus, it's a helluva start and changes the risk calculus significantly. If we cut the chances that this virus hits a group and runs through them like a brush fire down significantly (as even a half-working vaccination would) and also render infections less severe (by no means an expert, but my understanding is that not all vaccinations provide 100% immunity so it's still possible to catch the thing, but your immune system is much more prepared to fight it if you do so your case becomes less severe), it's going to be a lot easier to get comfortable taking normal everyday risks again.
