I also think you can make the case that high calorie/low nutrition food is at least as harmful to health outcomes as age-restricted products like cigarettes and alcohol. I wouldn’t hate to see age restrictions on such food from commercial establishments, at least — as part of their licensure to sell food. I just don’t know a good practical way to implement it. A hamburger is not really that bad for a 16 year old ... but eating 3 of them with fries every day is a real problem.
