(bankruptcies, divorces, and failure as POTUS say different), so he has disdain for knowledge. He sees it as at best restricting people to narrow thinking, and at worst useless. For what it's worth, he views morality, lawfulness, and prudence the same way. He really doesn't understand that his father all but guaranteed his financial well-being, regardless of how much he himself screwed up. He really believes he is the product of his own merit. That's why he believes himself to be uniquely talented. He doesn't have anywhere near the knowledge and sought after virtues of anyone in the room, however, he is president and has more money than they do, so there must be something different and special about him. If you're special and always seem to come out ok, you don't have to make good informed decisions. Not uncommon for trust fund babies.
