However, it is fair to say, that unlike most people his personal strategy for accruing money is not predicated on successfully completing projects. We can debate as to whether his ouster from many "Trump" projects is the result of incompetence or intentional mismanagement, but in the end, at this point, his strategy does assume financial failure of the project. Take note, that there are many Trump projects that did not officially go into bankruptcy, but did require debt restructuring, and as part of that restructuring, creditors stipulated his ouster from a decision making role in the project. In order to remove him from such a role, most of his equity was purchased from him. He counts that as a win, whereas most people would see that as a failure.
