if they thought moving forward we would see fewer incidents like George Floyd, 75% of blacks said "no". There's always an excuse. There is always an after the fact justification for some cop acting like an out-of-control asshole and killing someone. As long as we make excuses, nothing changes. Derek Chauvin acted improperly. He employed tactics that police officers have been trained to know are life-threatening. He did so callously and indifferently, despite the victim, civilian bystanders, and even another police officer objecting to his behavior. Derek Chauvin directly and unnecessarily contributed to the death of George Floyd. At the end of the day, the undeniable fact is, a man died, and Derek Chauvin's actions led directly to that outcome. Excusing his behavior, only sets the precedent for the next cop to do it. Not one person on this board would feel safe if Derek Chauvin pulled them over for a traffic stop. Police officers like Derek Chauvin have to go. You want the police to be safe? You want people to respect and cooperate with the police? Then the police have to realize, that is a two way street. Stop acting like a bunch of thugs with badges and live the fucking mission statement on the car. Protect and Serve.
