BUT....some examples on why school seems to be about the SAFEST place.

Our school district as of last Friday had 54 confirmed positives. They traced 52 to them conclusively to having been caught NOT at school. The remaining 2 were still under investigation.

Staring this week, school systems in Monroe County (NY - next to my county) had to start testing 20% of their students and staff every week. The results from the first tests came out today. There's probably 10 large school districts in the county, then a few smaller ones as well. Of all those districts, only 5 had ANY positives tests, and the numbers in those 5 were all approximately 2 positives in 570 tests, or similar ratios of less than 1/2 of 1 percent.

Almost every district here is doing 'hybrid', with mask required, so spacing and protection is good. The positivity rate for the area is closing in on 5%.....but it's not coming from the schools. If they shut down the schools, they're taking away the places that are best proven to be safe.
