Close all businesses and have the goverment cover payroll for 6 months

Which of course is not realistic.

If I stay out of the restaurants the flip side is servers/owners suffer. Finding the sweetspot is tricky and everyone has a different measurement. LA has shut down all dining. RI has shut down all gyms. Hoo foots the bill? There are no easy answers and looking through the political lense amplifies it further. My fear is people will look at 2021 as a new beginning, yet covid is the ball and chain that will cross over.
