Egged on by a "leader" who encouraged them not to do the right thing -- but to rebel against their own governors for doing what he didn't have the balls or the moral fabric to do. Or, in the case of some of these whackjob governors (like the crazy lunatic woman Republicans think is "hot" or the fucking bozo apple polisher in Florida), to mislead their constituents as well. All of which put a normal problem of Americans being generally stupid, uneducated, misinformed, stubborn, and overly confident in what they think they "know" on a potent cocktail of anabolic steroids, human growth hormone, and amphetamines and led us to where were are now: 1/3 of America is a cult of stupid psychotic idiots, 1/3 are young people who haven't quite gotten to the point where they give a shit, and the other third is trying to do the right thing....

Depressing, but such a bad look. I certainly don't think the world is looking to us for leadership anytime soon, although Biden has a chance to change that.

Unfortunately, that's a lot of people and they all share the consequences of their own stupidity with their friends, neighbors, co-workers, and families.
