Article references that same quote three friggin times. It’s the only thing they offer up as a direct quote from Cotton that might indicate he did Ranger duty while in Afghanistan and Iraq.

His other quote that he “became an Army Ranger” and the campaign ad that he “volunteered to be an Army Ranger” are not false statements, IMHO. The claim that those are embellishments hinges on the position that simply graduating from Ranger School in no way entitles you to call yourself a Ranger, which is hardly a universally accepted position.

This article is weak sauce. That multiple moderate and left leaning posters are not hopping on this train is a good indicator.
