Have anything to say about it. Obviously certain restrictions have whittled away at the absolute nature of the decision, with plenty on the pro-choice side resisting on slippery slope or other grounds every step of the way.
Roe had the effect of (illegitimately in my view) removing abortion rights from the political arena. I think that gave us the religious right and by extension the current culture war-only focus of the repub party.
The inflexibility of the two sides looks different, but I think determinations about degrees of inflexibility are kind of irrelevant. Both sides are inflexible, and the drive to defend Roe above all is a drive by one side to have the courts shield them from political debate.
And in some states I’m sure, bad political outcomes. But you know human nature - when you start from a place of inflexibility your opponents tend to make sure you stay there.
